TrackMaker Software

TrackMaker Programs Available for Windows 11/10 Tablets

The TrackMaker geophysical software consists of two separate but fully integrated programs: the NAV field data acquisition component (with instrument-specific versions such as Nav31, Nav601, etc.) and the data-processing software (designated as TrackMaker31, TrackMaker601, etc., depending on the instrument).
TrackMaker software is individually prepared and fine-tuned for each supported geophysical instrument. To learn more about the TrackMaker version designed for a specific instrument, select one of the items in the right-hand panel (or below when using a narrow screen).

Nav601 - MS Windows 11 Version

The NAV field data acquisition program is available for Windows 11/10–based field tablets and field laptops (recommended), as well as for Microsoft Windows Mobile and Windows CE–based handheld field computers. NAV enables faster and more efficient geophysical surveys by guiding operators along uniformly spaced survey lines, minimizing missed coverage and preventing unnecessary line overlap. At the same time, it provides full real-time control of geophysical instrument output, data quality, and current instrument settings, together with comprehensive monitoring of GNSS/GPS receiver parameters and user-defined GPS warning masks.
The NAV data acquisition software works with virtually any GNSS/GPS receiver capable of streaming NMEA messages, as well as with selected robotic total stations (RTS), providing broad flexibility in field survey configurations. Each version of the data acquisition program automatically adjusts to the selected display orientation (portrait or landscape); however, the screen orientation must be locked, as the program cannot track screen rotation while recording data.

Nav601 - MS Windows Mobile (Landscape Display)

The TrackMaker data-processing program, available for Microsoft Windows (7 through 11), is used to process data files recorded by the NAV acquisition software. It automatically recognizes and reads data formats created by all previous NAV versions, ensuring seamless compatibility with legacy geophysical datasets.
The primary function of the TrackMaker processing software is to accurately position geophysical measurement stations and generate XYZ-type output files for mapping, modeling, and interpretation. Station positions are calculated using recorded GPS coordinates, instantaneous system heading, survey configuration, recorded time stamps, and user-defined filters. System configuration is defined by the offset between the GPS antenna and the center of the geophysical sensor, allowing TrackMaker to compute the true instrument position based on antenna offset and direction of travel.
