Licensing, Updates, Upgrades

A single license (TrackMaker, RTmap, or Multi package) permits installation and use on:

• One field computer for data acquisition
• One backup field computer (two license keys provided)
• An unlimited number of computers within the purchasing organization for data processing (field and office use)

Licenses are perpetual (no subscription).

Each license is granted to the original purchasing organization and is not transferable. The software is licensed for use, not sold, and may not be resold, transferred, or assigned to another party, including as part of the sale or donation of a computer on which it is installed.

Each software package provides a complete, ready-to-use solution:

• Data acquisition program (instrument-specific)
• Data processing software for Windows
• Two license keys (field computer + backup)
• Unlimited installation of processing software within your organization
• Two detailed PDF manuals (field acquisition and data processing)
• Free software updates for one year
• Technical support during the first year

Our software is licensed per user and runs locally on field and office computers. It does not rely on cloud-based operation or external data storage. This ensures that all survey data remains fully under the user’s control at all times.
This approach is particularly valued in projects where data confidentiality and operational independence are essential.

(The update period is calculated from the date of the original software purchase or the most recent update purchase, whichever is later)

• Updates (1 to 2 years after purchase): 30% of the current program price
• Updates (more than 2 years after purchase): 50% of the current program price

Each purchase—whether a new license or an update—includes access to all available updates for one year from the date of purchase.

Upgrades within the same program to a different operating system (e.g., Windows Mobile to Windows 11):

• 50% of the current program price

• Software is supplied by electronic delivery (download) at no additional cost.
• Manuals for TrackMaker, RTmap, and Multi programs are provided in PDF format.

Technical support from Geomar Software is provided at no charge for one (1) year from the date of purchase of a new license or an update/upgrade, and is delivered as promptly as possible.
Support for older versions may be limited due to changes in hardware and operating systems.
